NBA players go on Twitter to express their dismay over their college teams’ early exit from the 2016 NCAA March Madness festivities.
Once upon a time, NBA players took part in the NCAA March Madness as part of their respective colleges and universities competing for the Division 1 title. Even though they have left their schools years ago, their loyalty continues to remain with their teams.
With bragging rights on the line, players from all over the league are continuously rooting for their teams for the right to do an “in your face moment” against their teammates from rival schools in the true spirit of March Madness.
However, things don’t go as planned, as some “bracket-busting” teams go out of their way just to move on to the next round.
Here is just a selection of tweets from NBA players whose teams have been knocked out of contention in this year’s NCAA March Madness:
Michigan loses to Notre Dame
Texas eliminated by Northern Iowa
Michigan State loses to Middle Tennessee
Temple eliminated by Iowa
USC defeated by Providence
Colorado downed by Connecticut
Baylor upset by Yale
Arizona defeated by Wichita State
Vanderbilt loses to Wichita State
