Michael Vick leads Eagles to win over Ravens
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick had an up and down day on Sunday, but came through when it mattered most, as he led his team to a 24-23 win against the Baltimore Ravens.
Vick completed 23 of 32 passes for 371 yards, while throwing for one touchdown and two interceptions. The Eagles’ quarterback also lost a fumble earlier in the game before running for a one-yard score to complete Philadelphia’s comeback from a 17-7 halftime deficit.
Vick’s go-ahead touchdown completed an eight play drive in which the 10-year veteran accounted for all 80 yards the Eagles gained, according to SportingNews.com.
After the game, Vick told the Associated Press, “In the moment, you have to be at your best. It’s got to be an any-means-necessary mentality.”
The win, Philadelphia’s second one-point victory in two weeks, puts the Eagles record at 2-0, while the Ravens fall to 1-1. Next week the Eagles travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals, with Baltimore hosting the New England Patriots on Sunday night in a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game.
