Milwaukee Bucks Andrew Bogut out indefintely wit fractured ankle

Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut is out indefinitely after fracturing his left ankle Wednesday night in Houston. This is another injury setback for the former number one overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft.

The Washington Post reports that the injury occurred when Bogut came down awkwardly on a Houston’s player foot after he attempted to block a shot in the first quarter. The MRI revealed that Bogut fractured the ankle.

The center was playing in his 400th career game. He left with only three points, four rebounds and three blocked shots. This season Bogut is averaging 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2 blocked shots in just 12 games.

Injuries have seemed to plague Bogut’s entire career. He missed the end of the 2009-10 season with a dislocated right elbow. He also sprained his right wrist and broke his right hand on a hard fall to the floor.

He also missed 43 games, including the last 31 games of the season with a lower back issue in the 2008-09 season.

ESPN.com is reporting Bogut is out indefinitely and there is no immediate time table for his return.

Bogut missed the January 13 game against Dallas with concussion like symptoms. With the shortened 66 game season in the injuries are stacking up across the league.
