Bellator 158 debut in London is going to more interesting with the addition of a co-main event in the featherweight division that will feature Conor McGregor’s SBG teammate James Gallagher fighting against Mike Cutting that will be staged at the O2 Arena in England on July 16.
The 19-year-old Gallagher, who signed a contract with Bellator in April, is sporting a 3-0 card against Cutting’s 6-5 record, has earned many praises from his teammates, who describes him as a consistent athlete and a submission expert as well. In a press release, the undefeated Gallagher is a native of Northern Ireland, who has begun his professional career with three consecutive victories, all of which have concluded by way of submission in the opening frame. He will look to build on his budding young career when he challenges Cutting also known as “Gip,” who is from Hampshire, England.
It will be worth watching two submission experts get in on inside the ring as Bellator managed to secure interesting matches and how they managed to come up with the fight card ever since the untimely passing of Kimbo Slice. Cutting is out to put an end to his opponent’s unblemished mark when the two square off at this highly anticipated event that will serve as one of the main events leading to the Douglas Lima vs. Paul Daley match in the welterweight division.
Bellator 158: London will also have Michael Page going against Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos also in the welterweight division while Linton Vassell against Francis Carmont in the light heavyweight class.
For the Preliminary bouts for Bellator 158 will have Mark Godbeer vs. James Mulheron (heavyweight); Michael Shipman vs. Lee Chadwick (middleweight); Pietro Menga vs. Spencer Hewitt (flyweight); Luiz Tosta vs. Dean Garnett (bantamweight); Jason Radcliffe vs. Jack Mason (middleweight); Chase Morton vs. Nathaniel Wood (featherweight); Alex Reid vs. Manuel Garcia (middleweight); and C.J. Meeks vs. Danny Mitchell (middleweight).
