UFC 200: Dana White says Nate Diaz can choose any fighter he wants except…

UFC President Dana White said that he is still working to get Nate Diaz to fight for UFC 200 and added that he can choose any fighter he wants except Conor McGregor, according to TMZ Sports.

“Obviously, I would like to keep Nate [in 200],” White told TMZ Sports outside Mastro’s in Bev Hills Monday night . “Nate stands to make a lot of money in 200, I’d like to keep him in 200, but that’s up to him.”

Despite McGregor’s announcement on Twitter that he’s back on UFC 200, Dana White confirmed that UFC 200 is one card where the Irish superstar is not included. However, White said that McGregor can still fight for UFC 201, 202, 203 or other UFC events but not in UFC 200.

White took McGregor off the card for the UFC 200 after the featherweight champion unexpectedly announced his retirement on Twitter and refused to break his training in Iceland in order to make a round of scheduled promotional appearances.

On the other hand, McGregor’s supposed opponent at UFC 200 showed a lack of interest for the event after the UFC declared that he will be facing another fighter and not the Irish superstar.

The first match between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor turned out to an unexpected result after Diaz defeats McGregor in spite of getting beaten badly in the early rounds. Many doubted if Diaz was really the better fighter so that might be the reason he wanted to pursue the rematch with McGregor.

In the meantime, Dana White was not giving any details yet regarding the possible replacement for the headlining match in the UFC 200 which was expected to make the biggest hits in MMA history.

If not with UFC 200, the MMA fans are surely saving their money to the most awaited comeback of the featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, in the Octagon but then they are still hoping that White would still reconsider him to fight for UFC 200.
