UFC: Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino says women’s bantamweight gold does not appeal to her, only ‘super fights’

Cris “Cyborg” Justino sends a strong message to the UFC after demolishing Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 95 in Brazil. Justino tells the UFC that she has no plans of cutting down to take the 135-pound title as she only wants to book in “super fights.”

In a report by ESPN, Justino tells the media after the fight that she struggled to get into the catch weight at 140. She intends to stay there and let her opponents pick her so that she could make history out of them. Justino added that she is happy with her two titles and only wants to make fight fans happy.

Justino is the former Strikeforce Women’s Featherweight Champion and the current Invicta FC World Featherweight Champion. After Lansberg, Justino wants to take a long vacation and wait, what the UFC has in stored for her. Though, Justino really wants the fight against Ronda Rousey to happen.

In her fight against Lansberg, Justino had to cut at least 24 pounds to make the catch weight. Her nutrition coach George Lockhart was instrumental in cutting her weight in a safe way. Aside from a monitored weight cut, Justino also had to use birth control pills to help her along the way.

However, the UFC still has no plans of putting up a 140-pound or a 145-pound women’s division making Justino’s future uncertain. But it seems Justino wants the fight against Rousey to happen. Justino tells Fox Sports that Rousey should come back for her fans and fight her for all fight fans and for the women in the MMA.

“I want Ronda to come back,” Justino said after her latest win. “I think she should show people even when you lose, it’s not the end of the world. You cannot give up.”

Justino has made the weight cut twice and won all her fights. She added that if she would ever make a weight cut, an incentive should go with it. Justino is suggesting that a fight with Rousey would be the perfect incentive for her to do it again.
