The UFC’s Twitter account has captured the eye destruction scene.

Mitrione’s eye is all puffed up and swelled right now as the picture reveals. His right eye is hardly visible.

Mitrione’s swollen eye

By third round of the match, Mitrione’s eye swelled to epic heights and even the audience could see that Mitrione’s end is near.

Mitrione was sent spiralling down the mat and Browne finally sealed the deal with a series of punches and elbows from top position. And sadly, Mitrione had no way out to escape.

By the time the match was over, we saw one of the most gruesomely swollen eyes from an MMA fighter. However, what is shocking is that Browne was not penalized for the two eye pokes on Mitrione by referee Gary Foreman.

Let’s just hope Mitrione recovers soon from the injury.
