UFC president Dana White dismisses Nate Diaz claim on steroid use

UFC president Dana White slams the claim of Nate Diaz that there is a widespread use of steroids among the organization’s fighters.

In an interview with TMZ, White lambasted Diaz comments made during the press conference for his fight against Conor McGregor in UFC 196 on March 5. He stated that Diaz was a two-face and that the UFC has the best drug testing in all sports.

“The UFC unquestionably has the best drug testing program in all of sports. All done by the United States Anti-Doping Association,” White said.

White also pointed out that if Diaz made such comment that everyone in the UFC is on steroids, then he might also be using the same performance-enhancing drug (PED).

“It’s interesting … by saying everyone in the UFC takes steroids, Nate is suggesting he’s on PEDs too. Nate’s own teammates, Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields, were both busted for PEDs … If you are cheating, you get caught,”

Performance-enhancing drugs (PED) are substances used to improve any form of activity performance in humans. Physical performance-enhancing drugs are used by athletes and bodybuilders. Use of cognitive performance enhancers by students is sometimes referred to as academic doping.

Diaz made the serious accusations not only to the UFC as a whole but also hurdled it to Conor McGregor, who was fuming upon hearing such words that he was to be constrained by two men to keep him apart Diaz.

The controversial statement Diaz roused the attention of not only of the fight fans but also of the whole organization and he will be put to the test once he steps in the Octagon with McGregor, who vows to silence the American and make him eat his own words.
