If everyone thought that they were able to figure out what happened in Mr. Robot Season 1, then they will be mistaken as showrunner Sam Esmail revealed some major shockers of season 1 along with some massive update on Rami Malek’s character Elliot Alderson in season 2. The popular series of USA network Mr. Robot will return for its second rendition and will premiere on July 13, 2016 at 10 pm ET.
Esmail revealed that there are certain aspects of season 1 which were not real and viewers will get to know about it in Mr. Robot season 2. The 38-year-old revealed that there is a reason why “Darlene” was not in the hallucination sequence when Elliot saw his family in Time Square.
“I’m not interested in ‘gotcha’ moments or trying to shock or surprise the audience. As long as that [process] is organic, then it will feel real. It’s not my agenda to keep shocking you.” Esmail said, as reported by TVLine.
Mr. Robot season 2 will be more emotional and will revolve around how Elliot and the titular character played by Christian Slater reconcile. The series will revolve around Elliot’s emotional journey and how he will deal with the fact that he had been seeing a delusion.
In today’s world filled with spoilers, Mr. Robot has been credited for keeping secrets until the show airs live on TV. Nothing valuable has been released to the public yet and Slater hopes that it will continue so that the suspense of the show is kept intact.
“Everybody did keep it secret. Nobody spilled the beans. They respect the audience and wanted them to have full experience.” Slater said.
