NBA News: Rockets reinstate Royce White and Steve Blake comes back for Lakers

Royce White will be reinstated to the Houston Rockets after a suspension on February 11. Tuesday, Los Angeles Lakers’ Steve Blake will return to the court after a surgery.

White has been inactive all season for the Rockets while he worked with the team about his anxiety disorder and the NBA schedule. White was the 16th overall pick in the last draft.

White will be playing in the developmental league affiliate since the Rockets have reached an agreement that the players association has approved. His suspension was on Jan. 6 after he rejected to play for the NBDL.

Steve Blake has been out for the Lakers since November. Blake tweeted Saturday that he would be playing on Tuesday.

“The #RoadtoRecovery was long, but I’m back for the @Lakers Tuesday night #GoLakers”

On Dec. 5, Blake had surgery to repair a torn abdominal muscle. Blake was having complications along his abductor. There were only more complications after the surgery and during rehab. Thankfully, after a platelet rich plasma injection on Jan. 11 he is all better, according to Lakers.com.
