NBA Rumors: Boston Celtics trading the third overall pick and a starter for Kevin Love

NBA rumors are now swirling around the Boston Celtics who are reportedly giving away a starter and 2016 NBA draft first-round pick for Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently battling the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals. The first two games seemed to be very disappointing for the Cavaliers since they are expected to be a better team with their ‘Big Three’ healthy. Recalling in last year’s NBA Finals, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love missed the clash against the Warriors where LeBron James failed in his mission to give the Cleveland an NBA title.

Kevin Love missed Game 3 of the NBA Finals after suffering a concussion in Game 2. Despite his absence, the Cavaliers still managed to defeat the Warriors and marked their first victory in their best-of-seven series. Their Game 3 win creates a controversial question.

Are the Cleveland Cavaliers better without Kevin Love?

According to Satchel Price of SB Nation:

“It’s been said in basketball circles that the Warriors’ coaching staff was actually somewhat unhappy during last year’s Finals when the Cavs were forced to play without Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving due to injuries. Their absences allowed Cleveland to embrace a more defensive style and make things tough for the Warriors. In Game 3, the Cavs were again without Love — this time due to a head injury suffered in the previous contest — and didn’t seem to miss him very much. Richard Jefferson started in Love’s place and LeBron moved over to more of a power forward role, which allowed Cleveland to play a bit smaller and faster. That proved successful for the Cavs, and now it’ll be interesting to see how the team tries to bring Love back into the fold if he clears post-concussion tests before the next game.”

There are speculations that a huge change should be expected in the Cavaliers’ camp once they failed again to get the championship title. There are rumors that LeBron James may be forced to create another ‘Big Three’ and Kevin Love may be placed on the trading block.

Once the Cavaliers decided to trade Love, there will surely be lots of teams that will make a seductive offer in order to acquire him for their team, including the Boston Celtics. It is not a secret to everyone how Celtics owner Danny Ainge want to acquire a superstar in the offseason. Kevin Durant is still topping the Celtics’ list in free agency but there is a higher possibility that Durant will be re-signing with the OKC.

According to Fansided, the Boston Celtics can be a good destination for Kevin Love. The Celtics have lots of trading assets to offer including a starter and the third overall pick in the upcoming NBA draft. However, knowing LeBron James, he will prefer a teammate who has a broad experience and created an impact in the league.

No chance. If the Cavs are better off without Love, it’s not exactly a ringing endorsement of the player.

The Cs would be insane to give up the third pick for Love, let alone a starter too. This is such b.s. Stop writing speculative crap like this.

LeBron doesn’t want anything to do with the #3 pick. That’s why they traded Wiggins for love to begin with.
