NBA Rumors: Jeremy Lin to be joined by Dion Waiters, Moe Harkless in Brooklyn?

The Brooklyn Nets has been unlucky this offseason as they have only signed one big name in free agency, Jeremy Lin. According to the latest NBA rumors, Lin may be joined in Brooklyn by Dion Waiters and Moe Harkless.

The Nets signed Lin to a three-year, $36 million contract and they were also able to sign Allen Crabbe and Tyler Johnson to offer sheets. However, the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat decided to match the offers leaving Brooklyn empty handed.

General manager Sean Marks had no other choice but to sign veteran players such as Randy Foye, Greivis Vasquez, and Luis Scola. The Nets still have a lot of money and there are still a couple of available players in the market.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Brooklyn is interested in signing Dion Waiters, who is now an unrestricted free agent after the Oklahoma City Thunder rescinded their qualifying offer. He would slot right at shooting guard and form a good tandem with Jeremy Lin.

However, the Sixers are also interested in Waiters and he might be inclined in signing with them because he is from Philadelphia. On the other hand, TJ Porreca of Nothin’ But Nets suggested that Brooklyn should sign Moe Harkless to an offer sheet.

The 23-year-old is from Queens and he might be interested in coming home to his home state. The Blazers are reportedly willing to match any offers but they might be out of money after giving deals to Allen Crabbe, Evan Turner, and Festus Ezeli.

The Nets will have a press conference headlined by Jeremy Lin on July 20 to introduce the newest players of the team. If they can sign either or both Waiters and Harkless, Brooklyn will surely be holding another presser.
