NBA Rumors- LeBron James & Dwyane Wade will team up as Bulls in 2017?

One thing in common between former teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade is how both of them look up to Michael Jordan and his legacy in the NBA.

Michael Jordan is widely regarded as the greatest basketball player in the NBA, and it is no secret that both Wade and James grew up idolizing him. Now that both players are successful in their own careers too, is it far out to fancy them teaming up once more and relive Jordan’s days in Chicago?

ESPN host Sam Smith thinks this is still possible, and why not?

LeBron James will be a free agent next season, and technically he will be able to move to Chicago and join Dwyane Wade. The Chicago Bulls have enough room for free agents.

James wants to surpass Michael Jordan’s legacy. He told Sports Illustrated that he is motivated to “chase his ghost” who used to play with the Bulls. Is that where he could be headed to in 2017?

Sam Smith opened up about the possibility on NBA.com

“LeBron will be a free agent after next season, and, hey can I start that one now: LeBron gets Cleveland its title; he’s now free to leave and rejoin his buddy Wade in Chicago where they could have gone in 2010.”

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have had good runs in their careers together with the Heat.

They both gel in the game, and they have won two NBA finals together, which is a testament to their chemistry. They’re also very accomplished athletes who could ride out their careers in a major media market with the support of a young Bulls team with Jimmy Butler and Rajon Rondo.

Would this be a wise move for James? He has already won the NBA championship title for the Cavaliers, whose chances to win the title back to back is already suspect in lieu of the Golden State Warriors super team with Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Thompson and Green.

He’s accomplished his goals for Cleveland and what better way to reward himself for his successes by playing with a long-time friend in Wade who also said he made his move to Chicago for selfish reasons; to have fun and relive his childhood dreams- the days of Michael Jordan playing for Chicago.

The NBA rumors may not be as easy to visualize at this point, but perhaps Sam Smith said it best when he said, “Hey, you can’t say no to anything in this NBA.”
