NBA Rumors: Miami Heat to trade Goran Dragic for Kris Dunn and Zach Lavine; Wolves interested with the veteran point guard

Rumors and speculations are now swirling around the Miami Heat who are reportedly trading Goran Dragic for Kris Dunn and Zach Lavine of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After Dwyane Wade left, many are expecting that the Miami Heat will be undergoing a rebuilding process and this includes a huge adjustment in their roster. The Heat decided to make Hassan Whiteside their main focus with the belief that he could bring them back to title contention.

Pat Riley planned to create his next ‘Big Three’ with Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade and Hassan Whiteside. He tried to give an initial offer of $10 million to Wade, which angered the three-time NBA champion. With Kevin Durant’s decision to join the Golden State Warriors, the Heat’s major plan started to be completely destroyed.

The Miami Heat tried to re-sign Dwyane Wade and raised the offer to $40-50 million. However, it seems like Wade has already made up his mind to leave the Heat and play for the Chicago Bulls. Veteran small forward Luol Deng, who received a decent offer from the Los Angeles Lakers, also decided to leave.

Many are expecting that the Miami Heat will undergo a huge revamped with their roster. There are speculations that the Heat will be including Goran Dragic on the trading block and target a young, skilled players in return.

Michael Saenz of Fansided suggested that the Minnesota Timberwolves should trade for Goran Dragic. The Timberwolves are currently having three young point guards but none of them fits for the starting role. The team has successfully created an impact with their young roster with Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns so adding a veteran point guard like Goran Dragic would make sense if they want to reach a higher level next season.

Goran Dragic averaged 14.1 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds in the last season. Dragic playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves will surely be an interesting thing to watch in the 2016-17 NBA season.

Rofl! This is a joke! I’m sure Heat fans would be ecstatic as this trade would be moronic from the Wolves perspective…

This is the sort of trade scenerio that I would expect from a 7 year old diehard fan.

Dragic is a 30 year old point guard with diminishing stats and skills. Why on earth would the Wolves trade a 21 year old combo guard who is poised to be a 6th man of the year candidate as well as the guy they just picked 5th in this year’s draft? The same fellow who just lit up the competition in summer league play and will most likely be their starting shooting guard when the regular season opens?

    Ridiculous article.
