NBA Rumors: Michael Carter-Williams expecting a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks?

The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired Matthew Dellavedova in 2016 free agency to put questions on the status of Michael Carter-Williams with the team. Will the Australian start for the Bucks or will the former Rookie of the Year get back his starting point guard spot or get traded, according to NBA rumors?

In a recent interview while in the Philippines for an NBA event, Carter-Williams, also known as “MCW”. admitted that the previous trade that brought him to the Bucks from the Philadelphia 76ers still haunt him to this day.

“When you enter the league, you know trades happen and that it’s also a business but you never think it will happen to you,” MCW said via Bleachers Brew.

“Truthfully, I didn’t know what to expect. I never got traded before. I felt like the team gave up on me. And when you’re rebuilding and trying to do something special, it hurts.”

MCW is again involved NBA rumors that the Bucks might trade him this 2016 offseason. Milwaukee signed Australian Dellavedova to a long-term deal this summer and he could be the starting point guard for the team for the 2016-2017 NBA Season.

Dellavedova has played well for the Australian basketball national team at the 2016 Rio Olympics and proving that he can be a starting PG for any team. Dellavedova, who was a back-up of Kyrie Irving with the Cleveland Cavaliers, will try to lead Australia to an assured medal in Rio, Brazil and will face the Serbia squad in the semifinals.

In the same interview, MCW also admitted that he has heard of the criticisms of his game, particularly his lack of a reliable jumpshot, which has limited his play in the NBA. MCW says he is “working on his jumpshot and overall game” and is challenged by the adversity and criticisms.
