The Sixers surplus of big men could be valuable to the Boston Celtics that needs a rim protector.

It is possible that they may offer point guard Isaiah Thomas or Jaylen Brown who are both solid choices with the ability to stretch the defense with their 3-point shooting.

If the Sixers eventually move Nerlens Noel they would need to build an outside threat surrounding their versatile forward Ben Simmons.

While Ben Simmons may have showed some weaknesses with his shooting during the Summer League games, he has a great passing ability, which could benefit shooters around him.

Meanwhile, since it is known that the Sixers need to ship one of its big men, it is possible that they get offered not so colorful deals.

Among the big men in the team, of whom at least one needs to be traded, are Nerlens Noel, Jahil Okafor, and Joel Embiid.

According to a report by CSN, when asked about the trade prospects, Bryan Colangelo, the Sixers GM said, “We’re not going to make a bad deal just to make a deal. I think we can be a better basketball team if we can distribute that talent better. Maybe take one of those assets and address other needs on the roster.”

“I think right now it’s best to say we like all of them, we want to see if we can make the most out of each of them. At the end of the day, the reality says one has to go at some point but only when the deal is right.”
