NBA Rumors: Phoenix Suns trading Eric Bledsoe, Dragan Bender and 2017 first round pick for Russell Westbrook

Rumors and speculations are now swirling around the Phoenix Suns who are reportedly trading Dragan Bender, Eric Bledsoe and 2017 first-round pick for Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder face a huge problem that started when Kevin  Durant decided to leave the team. The 27-year-old forward signed a two-year deal worth $54.3 million with the Golden State Warriors. After he officially made the announcement, trade rumors about Russell Westbrook continue to surface the web.

Russell Westbrook is set to become a free agent on July 1, 2017. There are reports saying that the 27-year-old point guard has no intention to extend or renegotiate his contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder. This leads to the speculation that the Thunder will trade him before the start of the 2016-17 NBA season.

Several teams are reportedly interested in making trade offers for Russell Westbrook, including the Phoenix Suns. According to Kyle Fleeger of Fansided, the Phoenix Suns could offer Eric Bledsoe, Dragan Bender and 2017 first round pick for Westbrook. The Thunder will surely be attracted by the Suns’ offer since Eric Bledsoe can be a replacement point guard.

On the other hand, the fourth overall pick, Dragan Bender, who fits for the power forward position, can take Serge Ibaka’s place. Trading Russell Westbrook is a no-brainer for the Oklahoma City Thunder than losing him in next year’s free agency without anything in return.

On the other hand, acquiring an athletic superstar like Russell Westbrook will surely be a big advantage for the Phoenix Suns. A walking triple-double like Westbrook would be a good fit with their future superstar Devin Booker.

However, the situation still depends on how will the Oklahoma City Thunder convince Russell Westbrook to stay with the team. Losing both Durant and Westbrook will surely be a big problem for the Thunder since the two were big parts of their recent achievements.

No way as a Suns fan, Westbrook’s gonna bolt after this year anyway, dumb idea.

OK, you are quoting Kyle Fleeger, as if that is a source of factual information. Then you are stating it as fact that” Phoenix Suns who are reportedly trading Dragan Bender, Eric Bledsoe and 2017 first-round pick for Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder.”

First of all, that is as bad as you get as a “journalist”. Go back to school, kid.

Your source isn’t a source. It is a kid who writes for Valley of the Suns, has ZERO information, and in fact, has a lot of really bad ideas. This is one of them.

I have no problem with Kyle flailing out stupid ideas on a daily basis, because that is his job and it gets people to comment. But you have no excuse. Stop perpetuating people’s wet dreams by reporting it as fact. Have some journalistic integrity.

    Suns wont make this deal.

I think the Suns will pull off a monster trade. I’m fine with Bledsoe and Bender in the deal. Draft picks though are needed to balance payroll with this rising cap. Suns can offer Westbrook bird rights and pay close to $170 mil with a 7.5% increase per year. The last year will pay close to $50 mil. No player is worth that in my opinion. No team will be able to offer that except the one he’s on next season.

So let me get this straight……
    Westbtook/Ulis/Price
    Knight/Booker/Goodwin/Barbosa
    Warren/Tucker
    Chriss/Dudley
    Len/Chandler

300/1 in Vegas. Just put $60 on it. Pays $18,040. Top 7 starting lineup and the deepest bench in the league. Anything can happen. Trades and injuries still haven’t taken place.

Warren, Chandler, Goodwin and Tucker for Gordon Hayward? That would be a sick team but I’d hate to give up Goodwin and Warren.
