NBA rumors: Is LeBron James planning to buy Cleveland Cavs following his billion-dollar Nike deal?

LeBron James has made history. This time outside the basketball court. The Cavs’ All-star signed an astronomical  deal with sneaker-giants Nike last December. But no one clearly knew how much is the deal actually worth?

Stars of the sporting arena signing huge deals with luxury brands are nothing new these days. But James’ historic deal even dwarfed Kevin Duran’s $300 million dollars Nike deal.

And if you are unaware of the exact amount of the exchange, think over it: Nike hopes that James will earn even more from the deal; as reported by the Yahoo Sports.

James’ maverick and savvy business partner Carter were instrumental the entire proceedings of the deal. Well, Carter can’t reveal the exact amount on board, but hinted its worth as north of billion.

Is LeBron James well-equipped now to make a bid for buying the Cleveland Cavs? Some with the idea of the deal feel he is.

“It’s a fantastic deal. Nike feels great about the deal. That’s the most important thing. As great as I feel, as great as LeBron feels — Nike feels fantastic about it. It’s the largest deal in the history of the company. Their hope is he makes even more.” Said Carter.

Is Donald Trump still a king of big deals?

Carter had few words of wisdom to offer:

“It’s hard to get anything done without being an asshole” and, “You never get what you deserve, you only get what you negotiate. So if you can negotiate for $99 after making someone $100 — that’s what you’re worth.”

Is Mr. Trump listening to this? Even a master of the trade like him should remember this while negotiating his next multi-million brand partnership.
