Los Angeles Lakers are furious with the rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell after the 20-year-old allegedly leaked a video of teammate Nick Young having a private conversation without the shooting guard realizing that he was being taped. The players are refusing to sit with him during meals and are avoiding him at all possible times.

Gossip website Fameolous uploaded a video on Twitter last week which showed Russell filming teammate Nick Young while he is watching television. Young was seen revealing a fact about hooking up with a 19-year-old girl and cheating on his fiancée Iggy Azalea, according to ESPN.

“I’m glad you told my video all that.” Russell said towards the end of the video with Young surprising saying, “Huh?” before the video cuts off. This has fueled the speculation that Russell did this intentionally to get himself traded by the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to rumors, Russell does not see a future at Los Angeles for himself and wants out of the franchise. The rookie has played 72 games for the Lakers this season averaging 13.1 points per game. He has 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists under his belt along with a player’s impact estimate of 9.3, according to stats.nba.com. It has to be noted that Lakers drafted Russell with the precious no.2 pick ahead of Jahlil Okafor who went to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Nick Young, who has averaged 7.3 points per game this season in 54 appearances for the Lakers won’t be happy with what Russell has done. The internet was quick to suggest what Young would be doing once he sees the man from Louisville, Kentucky the next time.

However, despite all this, will the Lakers trade Russell over the off-season? Only time holds the answer.
