The Cleveland Cavaliers are raining three-pointers on the Atlanta Hawks in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series and now a win away from a 4-0 sweep in this best-of-seven series.
LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, or the Cavaliers “Big Three” look to lead Cleveland on the road against a Hawks squad looking to avoid the embarrassment of being swept in this series.
Cavaliers vs Hawks series recap (Cavaliers lead 3-0):
Game 1: Cleveland Cavaliers 104, Atlanta Hawks 9
Game 2: Cleveland Cavaliers 123, Atlanta Hawks 98
Game 3: Cleveland Cavaliers 121, Atlanta Hawks 108
In Game 1, the Cavaliers took a big 18 point lead but the Hawks fought back to make a close game. However, James and Irving were composed in the fourth quarter and led the team with 25 and 21 points, respectively
In Game 2, it was J.R. Smith turn to heat up for the Cavaliers hitting seven three-pointers on the way to 23 points with LeBron adding 27 and Irving 19. The Cavs had an easy win in the 123-98 blowout win.
In Game 3, it was Channing Frye who hit from the three-point area. The reserve shooting big man hit 7 of 9 from three to lead the team in scoring with 27 points as Irving, James and Love all had 20 plus points. The game was in Atlanta and the big road win put Cleveland just one game of a sweep.
Can the Hawks avoid being blanked at home and extend it at least to Game 5? Or will the Big Three of LeBron, Love and Irving once again come up big?
