NBA Rumors: Bulls listening to offers for Derrick Rose? Which teams are interested?

The Chicago Bulls’ two superstars, Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler, have been involved in a lot of trade rumors in the past several months. According to the latest NBA rumors, the Bulls will likely listen to offers for Rose but which teams are willing to take a risk on him?

As mentioned in a previous report, the Bulls are going to hold on to Rose and Butler until next season and see if there will be an improvement on their relationship. If nothing good happens, the front office will likely make either one available at the trade deadline.

However, Dana Gauruder of Hoops Rumors noted in his offseason outlook for the Bulls that the team will “certainly listen” to offers for Rose. But the question is, are there any teams going to take a risk on him?

The 27-year-old has been the shell of his former MVP self after a couple of knee injuries slowed him down. In 66 games this season, he had a decent showing with an average of 16.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.7 steals per game.

Another problem for Rose is his shooting as he shot 42.7 percent from the field and 29.3 percent from threes. He has shown glimpses of brilliance in the past couple of seasons but it did not come on a consistent basis. He is also set to become a free agent at the end of the 2016-17 season.

The Bulls have to decide if they are willing to re-sign Rose to another big contract or trade him and get the best deal they can. On the other hand, Rose probably needs a change of scenery even if it means leaving his hometown.

According to CBS Sports, teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets can take a chance at Derrick Rose. He’s also been linked with the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, and Indiana Pacers. Nonetheless, these are all just rumors at the moment but expect more in the coming days as the 2016 NBA Draft approaches.
