The NBA rumors are still churning around the league, and this time it mainly involves the talented Chris Paul, John Wall, Otto Porter, Latvian Kristaps Porzingis, and former NBA MVP Derrick Rose.
As the NBA rumors have it the New York Knicks, L.A. Clippers, and the Washington Wizards could be part of a trade with these 5 players.
While Doc Rivers has repeatedly brushed off any interest that involves moving Chris Paul, counting heavily on his partnership with Blake Griffin for the future success of the team, the Clippers management could not discount the fact that they could lose their star player during the free agency next summer.
A Chris Paul Knicks trade has been circulating in the league for months now.
Unless they want to risk losing him for nothing, they had better open up on the possibility of trading him, and for that they could obtain a younger point guard in John Wall, 26, who is a 3x all-star. And along with him comes small forward Otto Porter.
Just as when we’ve thought the Knicks were contented with adopting Derrick Rose to their roster in spite of his rape case allegations, it seems that they are considering to trade him, and he, along with Latvian center Kristaps Porzingis could end up playing for the Washington Wizards.
Kristaps Porzingis is a valuable piece for the Knicks. He’s young, 21, and has the quickness, so he could play as a power forward and center for the team.
The Knicks are worried that Kristaps Porzingis may ask for such a high salary, while Derrick Rose, despite still having the talents that got him the MVP award in 2011, remains injury prone.
The Clippers seems to be likely to take the deal involving John Wall, who’s reportedly having issues with Bradley Beal, but the Wizards may be weary of the trade resulting to the team’s unreliable small forward spot.
The Knicks on the other hand still remain unsure of their willingness to let go of the young center considering his potential, and Derrick Rose because of his superb talents, albeit being injury prone. But they have earlier expressed some positivity to have that Chris Paul Knicks trade offer.
According to a report by the Inquisitr while the Knicks remains undecided, the Wizards may eventually turn down this proposal.
