NBA Rumors: DeMarcus Cousins trolls Kings’ GM Vlade Divac, to stay put with team next season?

DeMarcus Cousins won his first Olympic gold for team USA in Rio. Cousins currently plays for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA, but NBA rumors about his status with the team didn’t stop. But these NBA rumors suggest that DeMarcus might stay in Sacramento after he recently trolled the Kings’ General Manager (GM).

The former Kentucky standout had a good feeling after winning his first Olympic gold medal. This is because he also had the time to engage with his Kings’ GM, Vlade Divac.

According to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, Divac is the one that initiated the conversation based on his interview with Cousins. The player said that Vlade started talking trash after USA’s close win over Serbia. But DeMarcus joked that Divac kept his mouth shut ever since they won over Serbia in the finals.

Cousins also trolled the Kings’ GM in an interview with ESPN’s Marc Stein.

DeMarcus had a focused campaign for team USA in Rio Olympics. But earlier, he aired his dismay in his twitter over his NBA team’s 2016 draft picks. His rant led to the creation of NBA rumors regarding his possible trade to another team.

But Divac is really keen on retaining DeMarcus on the team at least until next season. This is because he was able to get in his player’s head through this friendly conversation in Rio.

Cousins will just be 26-years-old when the 2016-2017 season starts. Any NBA team would really like to have him in their lineup since he is at his peak form right now. He averaged an MVP-like numbers of 26.9 points per game, 11.5 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game and 1.4 blocks per game last season.
