After the Houston Rockets’ poor season ended with the elimination in the first round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs, NBA rumors have surrounded the franchise mainly concerning the stars in the team, James Harden and Dwight Howard.
Howard is expected to opt out of his deal and search for another team who can give him a long-term huge contract, the final payday in his career. Harden is still under contract however and the Rockets are stuck with him until the 2017-2018 NBA Season. Unless he’s traded as suggested by some NBA rumors.
Why should the Rockets trade away their best player and a Most Valuable Player candidate the past seasons?
Shaquille O’Neal, the former NBA player and now a basketball analyst, has a feature on his show called “Shaqtin’ a Fool” and the ex Lakers and Heat big man had James Harden featured many times in the segment. A fan compiled James Harden’s lapses and funny mistakes this season and could warrant the idea that Harden must be traded by the Rockets this 2016 offseason.

As seen in the “Shaqtin’ a Fool” compilation video, James Harden’s lowlights include a lot of defensive lapses and some funny mistakes on the offensive end. Shaq even called him the worst defensive player in the entire league for his consistent poor defensive effort in many Rockets games.
NBA rumors will continue to surround the Rockets this offseason as they try to get back in contention as one of the best teams in the Western Conference. Their main man, James Harden could be considered one of the candidates as trade piece in the 2016 offseason if they really want to improve the team.
