NBA Rumors: LeBron James insults Hawks, Raptors, says Cavs will face Dwyane Wade in East Final

LeBron James is a confident basketball player and he proved that by saying in an interview that he’s already looking forward in matching up with his good friend, Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, in the Eastern Conference Finals. NBA rumors now puts pressure on LeBron, who is being accused of underestimating the Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors with his recent statement.

“Naturally, of course. That’s since I’ve came back. It’d be great to play against those guys in the postseason,” James said via ESPN before the Cavaliers’ Game 2 in the East semifinals against the Atlanta Hawks.

“Throughout my whole career, I’ve always wanted to go against [Dwyane] Wade in a playoff series. We’ve always talked about it even before we became teammates in ’10. It’s not been heavy on my mind, but it’s crossed my mind throughout my whole career.”

LeBron James’ statement could be interpreted as something of a shot against the Hawks, who are still not eliminated from the 2016 NBA Playoffs but trails the series, 2-0 in the best-of-seven match-up. James’ confidence in his team was correct on Wednesday night when the Cavs embarrassed the Hawks in Game 2 via a big blowout.

LeBron James declaration of his excitement of a Heat vs. Cavs East Finals match-up can also be seen as a shot against the Toronto Raptors, who lost the homecourt advantage against the Heat after losing Game 1 in their best-of-seven series. NBA rumors will now surround James in these playoffs that he’s still one of the arrogant and least liked players in the league.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were teammates with Miami’s superteam from 2010 and 2014 and they won two championships together, in 2012 and 2013. If the Cavs and Heat continue their success in their respective East semis series then a LeBron James vs. Dwyane Wade match-up is something that will be one of the best storylines in the 2016 NBA Playoffs. There are even NBA rumors that the pair will reunite after the season, but not until they possibly face off in the conference finals.
