LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are trailing the Golden State Warriors, 2-0 in the 2016 NBA Finals. Two more losses for the Cavaliers means another offseason filled with NBA rumors involving the “Big Three” of James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.
If LeBron loses in the finals, is it time for the Cavaliers’ management to revisit the speculations on the trade of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love for Blake Griffin and Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers?
The much talked about Clippers-Cavaliers NBA rumors were talked about near the season’s trade deadline though neither the Cavs nor Clippers side have confirmed that they discussed the deal.
However, it’s a very interesting trade for both sides at it seems to address the issues for both teams. If the Clippers get Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, they retain their own “Big Three” of the duo with center DeAndre Jordan.
If the Cavaliers get Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, they will remain the top contender in the Eastern Conference next season and will unite CP3 and LeBron, who are close friends.
Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals will be on Wednesday in Cleveland. The Cavaliers will try to avoid a 0-3 hole in the best-of-seven series.
LeBron James is a free agent this 2016 offseason but he is not expected to leave Cleveland because of the backlash if he leaves his hometown team again.
Should the Cavaliers fall to the Warriors in the NBA Finals, expect NBA rumors surrounding the Cavs team this summer, and the Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and Blake Griffin, Chris Paul trade could be the best option for Cleveland’s management to please LeBron James.
