The free agency is set to start on Friday, and the Los Angeles Lakers are trying to boost their back-court. The franchise has set sights on free agent guard Mike Conley.
Memphis Grizzlies’ star Conley is considered as one of the underrated point guards in the league. It was widely regarded that Conley will re-sign with Memphis this summer. But several teams are pursuing the veteran guard, according to Chris Broussard of the ESPN.

Conley is drawing huge interest in free agency market for his consistency and reliability. Los Angeles has two young point guards, but the franchise wants to add experience and veteran leadership in the back-court by roping in Conley.
Will Conley consider Lakers this summer?
Whether or not Mike Conley would consider Lakers this summer is a question. Like most veteran stars of the league, Conley would prefer to join a team which is a championship contender. The Lakers are trying to rebuild under new coach Luke Walton. They have a exciting young core, but hasn’t yet been able to rope in a top free agent.
Los Angeles already has two promising guards- D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson. Conley appears to be a much steady player at the point guard position.
The Lakers are also pursuing Ryan Anderson in free agency as reported by the Sports Rageous on Wednesday, but the star power forward wants to land in a playoff team.
Conley has been a steady contributor in Memphis for nine seasons. In the last season, he posted averages of 15.3 points and 6.1 assists on 42.2 percent shooting from the field and 36.3 percent shooting from three-point range.
