The Portland Trail Blazers reportedly offered Chandler Parsons the max deal. On Friday, new NBA rumors surfaced that they also want Dwight Howard to the team.
If Parsons and Howard both sign with the Trail Blazers in 2016 free agency, they’d be playing together again for the first time since suiting up with the Houston Rockets in the 2013-2014 season.
Jason Quick of CSNNW.com first reported the possibility that Howard may follow Parsons to Portland. Early in 2016 offseason, the Trail Blazers have reportedly offered the max deal worth $93.8 million to Parsons in a four-year contract.

It’s not clear how Portland can afford Howard after they sign Parsons although the team could trade other players to open salary cap space. Howard can also settle for a discounted deal if he wants to join the Trail Blazers and reunite with Parsons.
According to other NBA rumors, Parsons will also listen to the Memphis Grizzlies in free agency. Howard has also been linked to a number of teams including the Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic.
Parsons averaged 13.7 points last season for the Dallas Mavericks but struggled with injuries.
The Trail Blazers feature a starting backcourt of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. If they add Parsons and Howard, they could rise in the Western Conference as one of the top contenders.
2016 free agency just opened and more NBA rumors involving the Trail Blazers are expected as they try to improve their roster this offseason.
