Both the Sacramento Kings and Rudy Gay are reportedly willing to part with each other while Greg Monroe of the Milwaukee Bucks is also available for trade. According to the latest NBA trade rumors, Rudy Gay has demanded a trade and the Kings are also aggressive in looking for deals for the veteran forward.
Meanwhile, Monroe appears to be a bad fit in the Bucks’ system and are looking to deal the big man. It’s likely that Gay lands with a title contender who has the young prospects and future picks to give up to the Kings. Same case with Monroe who could be a good addition for a playoff squad.
Gay was traded from the Toronto Raptors to the Kings December 2013 and he signed a three-year extension with the club worth $40 million. Gay can potentially be a free agent after the 2016-2017 NBA Season with a player option in free agency next year.
Marc Stein of ESPN confirmed that the Kings have placed Gay on the trading block and added that Greg Monroe, the starting center for the Milwaukee Bucks is also available.
Stein also added that the re-signing of Miles Plumlee have affected the Bucks’ decision to stick with Monroe.
Rudy Gay to Brooklyn Nets; Greg Monroe to Houston Rockets?
For Rudy Gay, there are a few teams that wants to compete for a playoff spot and could add a veteran scorer.
A team like the Brooklyn Nets, with just Jeremy Lin and Brook Lopez as main offensive players could be interested. The Nets failed in their free agency bid to main targets Allen Crabbe and Tyler Johnson and Rudy Gay could be a nice Plan B.
For Greg Monroe, one team that could be a good fit are the Houston Rockets. They lost Dwight Howard to the Atlanta Hawks in free agency and James Harden and company might want another scorer from the paint.
The latest NBA trade rumors have Rudy Gay and Greg Monroe available, should the Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets try a trade with the Sacramento Kings and Milwaukee Bucks?
