NBA All-Star 2017 game heading to New Orleans next year?

NBA All-Star 2017 game heading to New Orleans next year?

This is a question worth answering since the fans are already planning their trips to go in the All-Star game. The NBA All-Star 2017 game has earlier been surrounded by an issue regarding its planned location in Charlotte, North Carolina. This controversy has made the NBA officials moved the festivities out of Charlotte.

The issue that forced the NBA to change locations is about the league’s objection to the House Bill 2 of the state based on an ESPN report. According to the Bill, it limits the anti-discrimination protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the state of North Carolina.

But the NBA did not allow the controversy to affect their credibility as they quickly moved the NBA All-Star 2017.

The location for the game is not yet announced by the league officials. But there is a report that suggests that the New Orleans may be closing in on a deal for the NBA All-Star game. This is according to Scott Kushner and Brett Dawson of The New Orleans Advocate.

The NBA All-Star 2017 is scheduled to happen on February 19, 2017.

New Orleans hosting the NBA All-Star 2017 game is going to be a big development for the city. This is because they last hosted the game just in 2014. The game happened in the Smoothie King Center arena of the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA.

If the city would be the NBA All-Star host, then this is going to boost the popularity of their own Pelicans team. This is also going to be the third time in nine years that they are organizing an NBA All-Star game.

The NBA All-Star 2008 was also held in New Orleans before.
