With the upcoming season fast approaching, NBA trade rumors have yet to cease. The Chicago Bulls came up big this time as they’ve acquired the services of future hall of famer, Dwyane Wade.
Aside from Wade, Bulls also obtained Rajon Rondo in the NBA free agency and Robin Lopez also coming in from a trade. However, looks like the Bulls are still looking for another reliable big-man who can be of big help when it comes to defense, as well as offense.
According to Inquistr, the Bulls are keeping their sights on 7-foot-tall, Brook Lopez, from the Brooklyn Nets. A blockbuster trade is rumored to be on the talks between the two teams which involves the Bulls acquiring Lopez and sending Nikola Mirotic, Bobby Portis and rookie Denzel Valentine to the Nets.
However, this trade would require sacrifices for either one of the teams. According to sources, the Bulls’ regular season rotation would be greatly affected as it would mean that the team would have to give away a starter and two top draft picks.
Not to mention, the ability of Lopez as a big man for the Bulls is also in question. Take note that his twin brother had just signed a deal with the Bulls. Although it’s interesting to see the twins playing side-by-side, acquiring Brook would not guarantee a difference for the team.
Also, as much as the NBA trade rumors suggest, Brook has been the consistent face of the franchise since day one and have provided dominance to help the team throughout his career, so it’s going to be hard for the Nets to let him go.
