NBA Rumors: One game away from glory; Will LeBron James leave Cavs for Miami or Los Angeles even if he wins the title?

LeBron James is just one game away from adding another NBA title. And other teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat are ready to pursue him in free agency.

Will James consider leaving Cleveland in free agency once his mission of winning the title with the Cavs is accomplished? Well, rumors have started surfacing with Adrian Wojnarowski pointing out that the chances of a James’ move to another team is wide open if he goes on to clinch the championship with the Cavs.

“One more victory, one more magnificent night at Oracle Arena, and James will get to run off with his buddies again somewhere warm. Miami. Los Angeles. Wherever,” Wojnarowski from Yahoo Sports wrote.

The Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers will reportedly pursue James, but the Cavs superstar revealed he has reasons to continue with the Cavs. Now, with Cleveland at the verge of a title victory, the teams are gearing up to acquire James this summer, especially if he fails against the Warriors and chooses to explore free agency again.

The Miami Heat or the Los Angeles Lakers are considered as the probable destination for James if he decides to leave Cleveland, as they have the cap space or can create cap space for signing the best player in the league.

James signed a one-plus-one deal with the Cavs in 2014 and is expected to become a free agent this offseason. The Cavs All-Star had an ordinary regular season– by his standards– but posted a superhuman show in the NBA Playoffs and the NBA Finals in particular.

The Los Angeles Clippers may also offer a package built around Blake Griffin to acquire the Cavs All-Star.

“There’s a restlessness about James that craves the next big move, the next power play,” Wojnarowsk added. “Franchises are on watch again, believing nothing’s forever in Northeast Ohio. Sooner or later, there’s a belief that James comes into play again, a line of thinking that his inner circle has done nothing to dissuade.”
