Top Restricted Free Agents in 2016 offseason: Will Andre Drummond, Bradley Beal jump ship in free agency?

By on
Drummond is one of the top free agents in the 2016 offsesaon

Andre Drummond, center and rebounding monster for the Detroit Pistons, and Harrison Barnes, forward and athletic big man for the Golden State Warriors, headline the list of restricted free agents after the 2015-2016 NBA Season.

There are two types of free agents every NBA offseason—the unrestricted free agents (UFA) and restricted free agents (RFA).

Both types are available to be signed to offer sheets by other NBA squads but the difference is that the UFAs are free to transfer to another squad while the RFAs will have to wait and see if their current teams decide to match the offer sheet or let them go in free agency.

Will Drummond jump ship and sign a contract with the highest bidder? The Pistons are likely to match since he’s the lone superstar in their roster making it no-brainer for the Pistons to match any sort of offer from a team trying to steal him in free agency.

It’s a different situation in the Golden State camp as Barnes  is primarily a role player in the Warriors’ system with the bulk of the offense going to stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson plus the significant roles of Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala, both of whom play the same forward position as Barnes.

Which players will stay put? And which players will prefer a change of scenery? Here are the Top 10 restricted free agents in the NBA summer of 2016:
