Watch the Los Angeles Lakers blow out the Golden State Warriors on their home floor on Sunday night for the playoffs-bound Warriors’ sixth loss of the season.
Heading into the final stretch of the 2015-16 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers are headed to another losing season and its third straight out of the playoffs. On the flip side, the Golden State Warriors are within striking distance of the record set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls for most regular season wins in NBA history.
But for one night in March, the Lakers proved to be the thorn on the side of the Warriors, pulling off a 112-95 upset at the Staples Center.
This win proved to be huge, as the Lakers beat a team with a much higher win percentage – the biggest in league history.
While this would be a knock on what is seen as its record-setting season for the Warriors, it would be a fitting send-off moment to Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who will be retiring after this season.
