Ex-Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson is scheduled to meet with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday. Tomlinson could become the complement to Adrian Peterson.
An agreement could happen quickly if the Tomlinson's concerns about salary and playing time are satisfied. The Vikings are seeking a replacement after Chester Taylor signed with the Chicago Bears and Tomlinson is looking for a team that can contend for a championship.
Tomlinson led the NFL with 12,490 rushing yards and 138 touchdowns in the last decade. The Chargers cut him in late February after his least productive year of his career. He rushed for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Tomlinson was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Chargers. He currently holds countless NFL records. Most notably, Tomlinson broke record for single-season touchdowns (31), the record for single-season rushing touchdowns (28) and the record for the most points scored in a single season (186).
