While the New England Patriots prepare themselves without Tom Brady on four-games for next season rumors are swirling that they could give free agent Tim Tebow the chance to fill in for the spot.
The Patriots are now busy in their training camp working on their plays minus Brady, who is set to serve his four-game suspension brought about by the deflating charges against him. With Brady missing four games, the Patriots would be vulnerable despite the presences of other quarterbacks in the team namely Jacoby Brissett and Jimmy Garoppolo.
@TheEss DT's deflation of the vestiges of his maturity shame Tom Brady's footballs…

Not since the #Patriots cut Tim Tebow have I seen as bad a throw by an athlete wearing New England colors as I saw from Ramirez last night

Even Brady feels the weight of the pressure being out in four games as his emotions got the best of him during running their plays at training camp. Brady at one point showed his frustrations as he slammed his helmet to the ground after his offensive team could not run down the play they were working on.
“He’s been competitive even when we’re just working out,” Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett said of Brady. “It’s fun because he plays at such a high level that you have to match that level. You know, oil and vinegar don’t mix. You just want to make sure that you rise to the top when he rises to the top as well.”

@lindseyyok …was BB saying JC was going to start for the Patriots this year????

Though many see that the two backup quarterbacks will have big shoes to fill in when Brady starts serving his suspension, bringing in Tebow would not hurt them a bit since the 28-year old 2007 Heisman Trophy winner can still be an effective thrower. Before becoming a free agent, Tebow once played for the Patriots in his five-year stint in the NFL. Aside from the Patriots, Tebow also saw action with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles.
Appearing Thursday at the “The Doug Gottlieb Show” on CBS Sports Radio as reported by the L.A Times, Tebow stated that he still has a lot of football in him and would be glad to play for a team, like the Patriots, nest season.
“I mean I think for me, I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in,” Tebow said. “You know I’m still young, I still feel really good. So is that something that I feel like I can be an effective quarterback in the NFL? Yeah, I really do feel like I could be. But I think at the same time, there are a lot of other things that I’m doing that I love and that I’m blessed to do.”

The Patriots will have pressure on their shoulder with Brady off for four games and with this void, the team could secure Tebow to fill in. Given the chance, Tebow might be able to deliver for the Patriots together with Brissett and Garoppolo.
