Cowboys vs. Giants Preview

Dallas will be without Tony Romo to start the season but they have rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, who might have the best preseason in the league. The regular season is a different animal but Prescott has a healthy Dez Bryant, fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliot, new signee Alfred Morris and veteran Jason Witten.

The Mississippi State product will go up against a Giants team that had a lot of changes in their defense. They signed free agents Damon Harrison, Janoris Jenkins and Olivier Vernon to big money deals while also bringing back Jason Pierre-Paul.

Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo told the media that it’s not easy preparing against Prescott. He mentioned that they had some help from their college scouts to get as much information as they can.

“It is not easy. It is not easy to do. We are trying to dig for all kinds of information. We have talked to (Team VP for player evaluation) Marc Ross and our college scouts about what they had on Prescott out of college,” Spagnuolo said, via the team’s official website.

New York also has one of the best offenses led by quarterback Eli Manning and star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Victor Cruz is also back after two years away due to injuries to his knee and calf.

Cowboys vs. Giants Prediction

If Dak Prescott can keep doing what he’s doing in the preseason, the Cowboys can match the offense of the Giants. Cowboys defeat Giants, 42-34.
