Colin Kaepernick to the Denver Broncos? Mark Sanchez doesn’t care much if they acquire the San Francisco 49ers quarterback saying that he’s ready to prove that he’s the starting QB for his new team and that he’ll battle for the starting QB spot if the Broncos acquire Kaepernick in a trade.

“Listen, I don’t care who is there, what is going on right now. They are going to give me a fair shake, that’s all I can ask for, a fair shot. I am good. Let’s go. I will bet on myself and compete my butt off,” Sanchez said via the league’s official website.

“I will be friendly and professional with whoever is there. But I want this bad. Really bad. I want what they experienced last year.”

The Broncos won the NFL championship earlier this year winning Super Bowl 50 by beating the upstart Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. However, Denver lost their top two QBs in Peyton Manning, who retired from the NFL already and Brock Osweiler, who was groomed to be Denver’s starting QB but left in free agency to the rival Houston Texans.

Between the two, Kaepernick has the better numbers in their NFL careers so far. The 29-year-old Sanchez will be playing in his 9th NFL season, previously playing for the New York Jets (2009 to 2012) and Philadelphia Eagles (2014 to 2015) while the 28-year-old Kaepernick will be in his 6th NFL season, playing for the 49ers since 2011.

Sanchez’s best NFL year cam in his third year with the Jets when he played in 16 games and produced 3,474 passing yards on 308 of 543 completions with 26 touchdowns andn 18 interceptions.

Kaepernick’s best came in his fourth year with the 49ers when he had 3,369 passing yards on 289 of 478 passes with 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also had 639 rushing yards with a touchdown the same year.

Who is the better starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos Denver next season? Mark Sanchez or Colin Kaepernick?
