The Philadelphia Eagles and Tennessee Titans trade featured potential star wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham and offensive lineman Dennis Kelly. NFL rumors claim that one of the reasons why the Titans traded Green-Beckham was because of his attitude and off the field issues.
The newest Eagles wide receiver admitted that there were some issues while he was in Tennessee but that it’s a thing of the past now. He says he is excited in starting a new career in Philadelphia.
“I think this will be a fresh start, new start, new teammates, new family, great family atmosphere. I feel like this is a brand new start,” Dorial Green-Beckham stated to Philly.com to stop the NFL rumors that he will be a distraction for the Eagles.
“Totally a whole different person. The off-the-field stuff is in the past, has been in the past. That stuff, I’ve never heard anything since then being brought up from anyone. That tells me I’m doing the right things.”
Even though the second year wide receiver has not played a game yet for the Eagles, Beckham-Green said that he already likes Philadelphia’s offense and that he expects to “catch a lot of balls” and “score a lot of touchdowns.”
How Green-Beckham will fit with head coach Chip Kelly’s offense will be the question for the Eagles. The second year WR had 549 receiving yards on 32 catches with four touchdowns in his rookie season.
Before the Philadelphia Eagles-Tennesse Titans trade went down, there were NFL rumors that Tennessee had issues with Dorial Green-Beckham’s conditioning and work ethics. With the wide receiver claiming those issues is a thing of the past, the Eagles can expect an additional weapon on offense.
