David Cobb is one of the remaining free agents after cut from their teams last week who has drawn interest from various teams, according to NFL rumors about a week before the new season begins.
The 23-year-old running back was released by the Tennessee Titans last Friday but has worked out for a number of NFL teams including the New York Jets, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.

Field Yates of ESPN stated that Cobb’s latest audition was with the Jets.
“Source adds: the Jets worked out former Titans RB David Cobb. He’s been busy lately,” Yates posted on Twitter.
A possible related move is the Jets’ decicion to release some of their players from their roster. There are NFL rumors that the Jets will make room for signing someone like Cobb, who has suffered from injuries in the past but is still very young.
“To make room on roster, Jets waived DBs Dexter McDougle and Ronald Martin, as well as RBs Khiry Robinson and Dominique Williams, per source,” Adam Schefter tweeted.
Cobb was the fifth round pick (138th overall pick) by the Titans in the 2015 NFL Draft but played in only seven games in Tennessee in his rookie year. He had 146 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown in limited outing for the Titans, which had DeMarco Murray, Derrick Henry and Dexter McCluster in the line-up.
Cobb has potential after playing great with the Minnesota Golden Gophers in college football. In his final year in college, he had 1,626 rushing yards on 314 carries with 13 rushing touchdowns.
The Patriots, Jets and Chiefs like his potential and can give him a chance to get back in the NFL by signing him to a short-term contract.
