The Buffalo Bills have claimed wide receiver Justin Hunter off waivers the team confirmed after stating that their top WR Sammy Watkins has been placed the injured reserve (IR) list.
Justin Hunter was a third round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and was hyped to be a reliable starting WR in the NFL. But in three years with the Tennessee Titans he registered just 1,116 receiving yards on 68 receptions with eight touchdowns.

Hunter’s best year came in 2014 when he had 498 receiving yards on 28 receptions with three touchdowns. Hunter played just nine games last season for the Titans due to a fractured ankle.
The Titans waived Justin Hunter and were picked up by the Miami Dolphins, which also decided to waive him to hit free agency. The 25-year-old Hunter is hoping he gets playing time in Buffalo to revive his faltering NFL career.
It’s still early in the season but the Bills are again struggling this year with one win in the first three games. They lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 13-7 and New York Jets, 37-31 to open the new NFL season but won against the Arizona Cardinals, 33-18 in Week 3.
Hunter will try to get some playing time in Buffalo with Watkins out for a number of weeks. Hunter will play behind Greg Salas and Brandon Tate. Watkins is out in Week 4 against the undefeated New England Patriots. Salas is also suffering from a groin injury and Hunter can have his chance of proving he can stay with the Bills.
