NFL Rumors: Tim Tebow comeback possible this season; Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos possible destination?

Tim Tebow is ready for an NFL comeback if a team comes calling this offseason saying he’s in shape to play in the league for the new season. Recent NFL rumors has Tebow linked to the Chicago Bears and former team Denver Broncos the last few weeks.

The popular quarterback has not played a regular season game since 2012 although he’s been part of preseason and practice teams for some teams since 2015.

The former Heisman Trophy winner said that he’s fit to play if some teams called for him to invite him to try out although he’s not sure he wants an NFL comeback at this point of his career.

The 28-year-old Tebow answered when asked about a possible comeback to the league, via CBS Sports.

“I gotta look at it, I gotta figure out the situation. Not necessarily be opposed to it but you never know,” Tebow said in the radio interview.

“I mean, for me, I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I’m still young, I still feel really good. So is that something that I feel like I can be an effective quarterback in the NFL? Yeah, I really do feel like I could be. But I think at the same time, there are a lot of other things that I’m doing that I love and that I’m blessed to do.”

Tibow has suited up for a number of teams in his NFL career with stints with the Denver Broncos (2010 to 2011), New York Jets (2011) and as offseason or practice squad member for the New England Patriots (2013) and Philadelphia Eagles (2015).

Tebow is not missing football much because he’s busy with off the field activities like writing a book and taking care of his programs outside of the sport, he stated in the interview.

“Whether that’s being part of college football, whether that’s — I just wrote another book — whether that’s what my foundation is doing in 16 countries. I’m extremely busy doing a lot of things I love to do,” Tebow added in the interview.

“Football is just one thing that I love to do. But it can’t become your everything because eventually you’re not going to be able to play, whether that’s today or five years from now. And if it’s your everything, when you’re done what do you do?”

One of the turnoffs of a possible NFL comeback for Tim Tebow is the lack of defined role for him in the league. He has played various positions in the NFL but is most popular and effective as a quarterback and he says he’s not sure if he wants to play other positions at this point of his NFL career.

Tebow led the Florida Gators to two SEC championships in his collegiate football career but has not found the same success in the pros. For his NFL career, he accumulated 2,422 passing yards, 989 rushing yards with a total of 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

You guys just make this stuff up don’t you in order to get hits?

It’s ridiculous that you manufacturer this story out of NOTHING. You go to Tebow, ask if he’d like to be in the NFL, he says yeah sure, and suddenly there’s a “rumor” that Chicago and Denver are “interested” in him. Of course, you cite NO sources whatsoever from either team for this “interest”, but you obviously don’t let mere facts get in the way of a good story.
