Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III earned himself a headliner, not in an NFL pre-season match, but in a love triangle affair. This is after Griffin decided to go public with his budding romance with Florida State University (FSU) track star, Grete Sadeiko.
TMZ released some photos of Griffin and Sadeiko sweetness that defined the status of their relationship. But as their love affair blooms, Griffin’s soon-to-be ex-wife, Rebecca Liddicoat, cried foul as she thought that they were in the process of fixing their marriage.
However, a close friend of Griffin stated that the quarterback did not “blindsided” Liddicoat. The source explained that the couple has been living separately since January, while Griffin filed the divorce in April.
The Report on the Griffin-Liddicoat divorce was first reported by Cleveland.com and noted that Griffin had been open with the whole thing with his coaches and teammates.
Sadeiko, who is originally from Estonia, is an FSU athlete competing in the heptathlon event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. In her Twitter account, which is now protected, Sadeiko even showed support to Griffin by wishing him well during their pre-season match against the Packers last Aug. 12.
“Good luck to my baby tonight!!!” she wrote. “And then hurry home.”
Griffin clearly has a lot of things going on with his personal life. Hopefully, it does not affect his performance in leading the Browns to a win in the pre-season and when the NFL season formally starts.
