The left-hand batsman powered the Sydney Thunder’s to the Big Bash League (BBL) title with his 70 scored from 40 balls. He featured in four BBL games in which he garnered 345 runs with a strike-rate of 163.50.

The amazing BBL form included two hundreds and two fifties. has a base price of US $225,000 and can expect to receive much more than that as the franchises will be looking onto him as an opener or first-down batsman.

Aaron Finch

Finch is one of the top batsmen in T20 Internationals and has recently scored a brilliant 74 against India. Finch previously featured for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. However, the Mumbai franchise has decided to offload him this season. Finch will gather interest from many teams looking for a powerful opener, like Pune Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders. Finch has a base price of US $300,000.

Cricket Australia won’t have its National team playing during the IPL, hence the 29-year-old will be available for the entire duration of the tournament.

Shane Watson

Shane Watson rose to international fame playing for the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. However, with the Royals now suspended for two years, the 34-year-old is without any team. Watson recently featured for the Australian team against India in the T20 International series. He scored the second-highest individual score in a T20Is in the last match of the series, an unbeaten 124 off 71 balls.

In the BBL, Watson has a strike rate of 132.02 with 235 runs under his belt. The brisk medium-pace bowler also took nine wickets in the tournament.

Kane Richardson

Richardson was only available for five matches in the BBL for the Adelaide Strikers as he was playing for Australia against India. Richardson has 54 career wickets in T20Is with a strike-rate of 20.3. Even though with an expensive run rate of 7.88, Richardson has a base price of US $300,000 and is expected to get much higher than that.

It certainly looks like Cricket Australia players will leave their mark in this season’s IPL, at least in terms of money.
