The phenomenal hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, had definitely taken the world by storm just after its pilot season. The TV series certainly left the fans hanging at the end of the first season because of what happened to Will Byers (Noel Schnapps). One question clouds every fan’s interest as of the moment and it has something to do with Will’s being. Could Will Byers be Season 2’s villain?
“Just like you said, I don’t know. But my guess is that maybe he’s going to become evil in the next season. If he’s coughing up these baby Demogorgons, or eggs, or something, maybe he’s incubating or holding these eggs inside of him and he’s trying to fight his good side against his bad side in the next season. That would be cool to see, to see him become evil,” Schnapps said in an interview.
According to Comicbook, Gaten Matarazzo also shared his predictions on what’s going to happen to Will in Season 2. In his theory, Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, said that Will might have acquired superpowers while inside the Upside Down. His theory comes from the fact that the Demogorgon attacked Will first and that Will learned how to communicate with his mom through the use of lights and electrical interference in their house.
“He’s the nice one,” Schnapps said when asked about Will’s role in the group. “Obviously, they’re all nice, but Will is the one who cares for all of them. He holds them all together, that big, long-lasting friendship because he’s so sweet and so easy to talk to.”
However, with Will’s possible trip to the dark side, it’s going to be tough for the boys knowing that Will Byers is the core of the group.
Will this prediction push through next season? Season 2’s tentative release date is slated for 2017.
