Kat Graham is leaving the Vampire Diaries?

After Nina Dobrev, another leading Vampire Diaries actor is bidding goodbye to the show. Kat Graham is bidding adieu to her famous character, Bonnie Bennet.

Speaking to  Us Weekly, Kat Graham has confirmed that Season 8 will be her last season on the hit CW show.

“Season 8 will be my last,” Kat said at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on April 3. “I just hope that whatever I do after, the crew can come with me. If the crew can come with me, then we’ll be good. The crew is going to be the hardest thing to let go because we’re a family.”

Kat Graham has been on the show since the supernatural drama’s 2009 pilot episode. Along with Nina Dobrev and Candice King, Kat has gone to be a household name thanks to her onscreen character.

Speaking optimistically about the upcoming season, Kat hopes to exit the show with a bang. “But you know what, another season is a whole other year, and we’re going to blow it out,” she said.

Kat’s exit from the show then gives out two possibilities, either Bonnie will be killed off or like Jeremy she will leave the town. If Bonnie’s character is killed off the possibility of Elena waking up from her magical sleep takes the forefront.

Fans might remember that at the end of season 6, Elena’s life was magically linked to Bonnie’s. Elena since then has been in a magical sleep thanks to Kai. She would only wake up when Bonnie is dead.

With Kat’s exit is there any possibility of Nina returning to the show?

It’s quite unlikely that Nina would return to the show again, but who knows, Nina might return in the near future and essay her famous character.

Ratings for the show have already dipped post Nina’s exit. The show has recently been renewed for Season 8.
