New Power season 4 spoilers keep coming as season 3 ended with a bang. Rumors and speculations are also rife regarding what will happen to each character in the story, especially to one of its main characters, James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). And with that comes another news that Dre will replace Ghost as the boss man next season.
That spoiler came from an interview with Power showrunner Courtney Kemp on Deadline in relation to Ghost’s suppose coming “death” this coming season. Giving him the nickname Baby Ghost, Kemp said that Dre (Rotimi Akinosho), will have a bigger screen time in season 4 as he takes the place of Ghost in the street.
Described as ambitious, Kemp said that Dre seems to be taking the same path Ghost had walked on. Like Tommy and Ghost, who killed Kanan, Dre also murdered Breeze and grew bigger in the business. With Ghost out of the picture, Dre is more than happy to take Ghost’s place both in the drug world and the club business.
Meanwhile, a lot of fans are speculating what the recurring theme “Ghost must die” theme of season 4. Will he really die literally or figuratively in the series and how will he re-emerge. Kemp said that his death is really coming, but did not elaborate further. Fans, on the other hand, reasoned out saying that Ghost cannot die because he is a ghost, an analogy that makes sense since he is the main character.
For sure big things are going to happen in season 4. Even 50 Cents, who plays Kanan in the movie and is also its executive producer, is busy fueling interest for the series’ fourth installment by flooding social media with the #FreeGhost hashtag.
Power season 4 is currently filming and is set to return in 2017.
