Courtney Kemp says characters will undergo a major transformation?

Starz hit series “Power” close out Season 3 with a bang but executive producer Courtney Kemp says there is more to expect. Kemp reveals that Season 4 will bring major transformation to some of the characters of the show.

According to Deadline, Season 3 finale brings a lot of cliffhangers starting with the arrest of James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick). Kemp noted that St. Patrick’s arrest leads to a string of realization for other characters of the show. She teases that with St. Patrick’s arrest leads to Angela “Angie” Valdez (Lela Loren) going back to being an honest prosecutor.

“Well, I think it’s important in any story of a man’s redemption that you really show him at his bottom, so this is definitely Ghost’s bottom. We’re going to see Angela actually try to become a decent prosecutor again. She’s wrong now, but she’s in the place of righteousness,” Kemp explained.

Kemp also hinted that Dre (Rotimi) seize the opportunity and gets driven by his ambition to take over St. Patrick’s business. Not only will Dre grow his bar business but also in the drug business.

There is also the evolution of Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughton), who has taken care of her family on the criminal side. Kemp stressed that Tasha will dig deep within herself on what it really means to care for her family. Aside from that new characters will come into play in the coming season and Kemp stated that they have to play with the storyline while the show was also given a Season 5 extension.

“I conceived of this show as a five-season show, so that means that I certainly had a five season plan, and I could end it at the end of five. But if they want more seasons, then our story structure is going to have to change to accommodate that,” Kemp added.

More explosive news and update await as followers of “Power” as it set to return with Season 4 in 2017. She notes that the characters’ evolution would improve the show season to season.
