Fans have been craving for Sherlock Season 4 ever since the Season 3 episodes completed two years back. To give the fans a little hope, Sherlock actor Benedict Cummerbatch revealed how long the fans have to wait for the new season to premiere. The “Doctor Strange” actor revealed that the fans have to “wait…though not for long”. He also mentioned that the wait will be “worth it”.

“I can’t wait for everyone to see season four. But you will have to wait…though not for long…And it will be worth it” Cummerbatch said, as reported by

Meanwhile, the 39-year-old who will star as Sherlock on the fourth season of the BBC series was spotted filming in Cardiff. Cummerbatch was seen sporting the legendary coat and scarf. Although the man from Hammersmith, London is stating that the wait won’t be long, rumors strongly link the show to be released on January 2017.

Sherlock co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss who will also be responsible for Season 4 recently shared few inside notes of how the upcoming season is going to be. Both Gatiss and Moffat mentioned that the lives of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson will be filled with adventure, romance and terror. However, there was also another important reveal.

“This is the story we’ve been telling from the beginning. A story about to reach its climax.” Moffat and Gatiss stated. This could highlight the fact that the famous series will finally come to an end with Season 4.

Sherlock Season 4 will have three feature length episodes just like its predecessors. For those who can’t wait to see Benedict Cummerbatch portraying the famous man of 221B Baker Street, they could catch him in “Doctor Strange” set to release on November 4, 2016.
