After its hiatus from production last January, HBO’s new series ‘Westworld’ has finally released a trailer that shows a promising theme park with a futuristic touch show.
The production of the SciFi-Thriller series was delayed because writers Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan needed to focus on finishing the final scripts.
“As we head into the final phase of production on Westworld, we’ve made the decision to take a brief hiatus in order to get ahead of the writing,” said HBO in a statement regarding the temporary halt in the production.
HBO raised the excitement of the fans with a mind-boggling and intriguing teaser of the series on 2014, and it was expected that the series will be premiering on 2015 and that filming will wrap up on November 2015, but it did not end up like how it was planned because of production dilemmas.
Reports said that the filming was resumed last March, and it looks like HBO is showing that the production is finally getting back on track as they recently released a surprising and mind-blowing trailer.
The show, based on a 1973 Michael Crichton movie with the same title, focuses on an adult theme park that lets everyone who comes enjoy their freedom with their deepest and darkest fantasies through artificial intelligence means.
However, problems come up for the theme park operators as what they built start to have human feelings and thoughts.
The trailer also showed a glimpse of a star-studded cast including Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden and Tessa Thompson.
